Dear 2A,
Last lesson we went through the steps for the conceptualisation process again. Now is time for you to tell me your specific issue based on the theme of "Environment & Art".
My issue is about global warming cause the ice at the North Pole to melt at a rapid speed and animals lost there homes as well as the raise of sea level. For Art I focus more on the melting of ice berg and polar bears. 2A Alan Cao (2)
My theme is focused on the effects of global warming,which lead to the rise in the number of animals with loss of habitat. Examples of the animals are polar bears and penguins. I will also concentrate on the effects of melting icebergs. Jiahui,2A
My issue is about oil spilling into the sea that causes marine animals and birds to die. For Art, I will be focusing on the animal that is facing this threat and the threat itself. By: Joanne Teo(13) 2A
I am most interested in exploring the environmental issue on air pollution. Based on my own knowledge, air pollution is caused by the harmful chemicals produced by manufacturing industries and factories, vehicles, waste disposition landfills and even from aerosol sprays into the atmosphere. All these are some of the examples of detrimental causes of human activities that damage our atmosphere for instance the release of vast amount of the CFCs over the past years or in fact decades has resulted in the depletion of the ozone layer which has grave and dire consequences not only for us human beings but also to Mother Nature-other living beings that share this world with us. I believe that there is more to explore and gain from this and I hope to do more profound research about this alarming issue. Thank you. Jazztine :)
My issue is about air pollution specifically the pollutants that cars released into the surrounding air like carbon monoxide. This is because many people nowadays owned their private cars. Thus as the number of cars operated increase, the amount of waste they emit also increase. Therefore, people should take public transport. I will concentrate mainly on ways to cut down on such air pollution.
My issue is about deforestation to make paper. Pulp mills contribute to air, water and land pollution, but I will only focus on the land pollution. Woodchipping to produce paper pulp is a contentious environmental issue. Trees in the world will be lesser each day if no one were to plant new ones. From the researched I had done, 35 percent of harvested trees are being used for paper manufacture.I will focus more on the effects of having lesser trees. 〤Jia Ying〤

My issue is about endangered species of animals that are going into extinction.Animals are very crucial to us even tough we may not know it.They provide milk,food and for us to discover the science in them.Without them we may not have food and our biology may not be that advanced. And yet because of humans' selfish wants of the skins of some particular species of animals, it has led to endangering these animals. We should start doing our part now before all the animals enter extinction. ^^ Pei Ling ^^ 2A :D
My issue is about water pollution, where animals like dolphins or even turtles get killed by massive oil spillages or being trapped/strangled in unwanted rubbish. The animals are innocent. Thus, we would have to think of ways of reducing water pollution and saving those poor animals.
Save those animals before we find out that we are gone. STOP POLLUTION ~
My issue is about marine litter which kills marine life. Plastic bags,glass pieces,metal cans and Styrofoam boxes thrown into the sea leads to the death of marine animals. For example, sea turtles are strangled by plastic bags and fishes get caught up in metal pieces which we throw accidentally or deliberately into the sea.I would like to show people through my sculpture how important it is to save marine life for the future generations and how important it is to stop marine litter.
My issue is about the factories releasing harmful gases into the environment causing global warming and the air getting polluted.The release of harmful gases into the environment also leads to the ice melting in Antarctica and the rising of the sea water level in specific countries.So,it is important for us to stop the release of these gases into the environment.
My issue is about the marine life getting affected by humans. Oil pollution kills many sea birds like seagulls and even penguins. Also, fishes are killed when they have not enough oxygen because of oil pollution. If this continues, this animals may get extinct in years to come so i would like my sculpture to let people know that it is important to protect marine life.
My issue is on deforestation and how it destory the homes of many animals. Due to the above issue, many animals are now homeless and this animals may get extinct in years to come.
My issue is regarding littering which endangers marine life like turtles and fish. Turtles often mistake plastic bags for their favourite food, jellyfish, and end up choking on them. We have to do something about it now and create awareness about the dangers of littering to prevent the extinction of marine animals. Thank you.
My issue is about deforestation which drives animals out of their homes the forests/trees e.g. monkeys,tigers...it also pollutes the rivers due to the lack of trees. I hope to make a sculpture to address this issue. Luis Lo(23) 2A
My issue is on how water pollution(e.g oil spills, dumping) will affect us and the environment in the future if we do not stop the rapid rate of pollution
well gee, thats easy :P im doing a sculpture on oil pollution. you know, the oil spills in the rivers, oceans & stuff... so i guess thats my issue. animals dying because the oil sticks to their fur & feathers. so they cant fly (birds) and they cant hunt for food. and the fish will die...and some stuff like that. i wanted to do this environmental issue cuz i saw these cool water birds at the canal, called little egret, and i like them, so i decided to do some environmental issue linked to them, like oil spills.
My issue is about global warming causing the rise in temperature affecting the lives of marine animals. eg. corals living in the sea. Temperature of the Earth had been rising in the past years, bleaching and killing many coral reefs. I hope that through my art, I can tell people about what situation coral reefs are in and to spare a thought for them as a slight change in temperature could cost their lives.
My issue is about the effect of global warming, which is the melting of the icebergs in the North and South Pole , affecting the lives of animals living there, such as polar bears, penguins and seals.

The oil spills will make it impossible for the birds to swim as all their feather will get stuck together & marine life get caught in the rubbish people throw.
My issue will be on sea pollution, which links to oil spills and marine litter. I will be concentrating more on oil spills, as well as the marine life that are affected by this threat. Oil spill can have serious effects on marine life, for example, it may poison birds which accidentally ingest them when preening. My issue will be on saving the Endagered Species. I will be concertrating on animals that are facing extinction due to our activities. We have to preserve them for future generation. The message that I want to let my audience know is: We have to treasure what we have today, before we regret when it is gone tomorrow.
My Issue is on pollution and how much energy we waste. I will be concentrating more on what is being done to save energy and how people can enjoy while doing so. Im thinking of the Marina Barrage and intend to make it part of my sculpture if permitted. My message is: if we do not save energy and resources, how can we enjoy in future with no electricity and clean environments? Arif Eman(04) 2A
My issue is the threat of animals going endangered. I am focusing on rare animals that are at risk of being extinct forever. If nothing is done about it, people will continue harming animals, decreasing their population, maybe even to the point where common animals like doves go extinct and the future generation will never be able to appreciate the beauty of the animals that went extinct.
My pollution issue is on water pollution when factories dump harmful chemicals into the water and greatly affect the marine life...for instance, when factories dump oil into the water, it layers the surface of the water, not allowing oxygen to dissolve into the water to allow the fishes to breathe...when the birds dive straight into the water,their beautiful coat of feathers get layered with this oil and prevents them from flying upwards.They drown because they are unable to spread their wings and fly away due to the oil making all their featheres stick together...

im doing a sculpture on oil pollution.
